Autolocator

Autolocator (or Automatic Locator) is a feature of recorders and DAWs that allows you to quickly save and return to specific points in a project.

Think of the autolocator as page markers in a book.

You can set "markers" (or "locate points") at important locations in your song, such as the beginning of a verse, the chorus, or a solo. After saving these points, instead of having to manually search for the desired position, you can simply select the marker and the system will automatically "jump" to that exact point in time. This greatly speeds up the workflow during recording and mixing, making it easier to quickly navigate through different sections of the song to record overdubs, edit, or compare snippets.
