BPM
BPM is the abbreviation for Beats Per Minute, which in Portuguese means Beats Per Minute.
It is the standard unit of measurement for the tempo (speed) of a song. The BPM number indicates how many main "beats" or "pulses" occur in one minute. Low BPM: Indicates a slow song (e.g., 60 BPM, which is equivalent to one beat per second). High BPM: Indicates a fast song (e.g., 120 BPM, which is equivalent to two beats per second). BPM is a fundamental parameter in DAWs, sequencers, metronomes, and DJ equipment, serving as the rhythmic reference for recordings, synchronization of effects (such as delays), and mixing of songs.
