DANTE
Dante is the most popular and widely used Audio over IP (AoIP) protocol in the world.
Created by the Australian company Audinate, Dante stands for Digital Audio Network Through Ethernet. It is a technology that allows the transmission of hundreds of high-quality digital audio channels with very low latency using a standard Ethernet computer network.
Instead of using heavy analog multicables or limited digital connections, Dante transforms the computer network into a flexible and powerful audio infrastructure.
It simplifies the connection of mixing consoles, processors, amplifiers, and stageboxes in live performances, studios, churches, and commercial installations. Its popularity stems from its ease of use (with the Dante Controller routing software), its reliability, and the large number of manufacturers that have adopted the standard in their products.bottom of page
