DIN Connector
The DIN Connector refers to a multi-pin connection format originally standardized in Germany. Although there are several configurations with different numbers of pins, the most well-known version in audio is the 5-pin circular connector. Historically, it was widely used in vintage home audio equipment to transmit stereo audio. However, in the current music production environment, the 5-pin DIN connector remains vital and ubiquitous as the physical standard for MIDI connections, allowing data communication between synthesizers, controllers, and interfaces.
